Vacuum type factory assembled metal clad and metal enclosed switchgear has a totally sheet steel encapsulated design with protection degree of IP4X according to IEC/BS standards.
Our PID104, PID106 type metal enclosed switchgears arrange components in separate compartments with METAL partitions intended to be earthed, compliant with IEC 298.
High tension switchgear comprises units designed for rated voltage of 12kV and 33kV, current range 400A to 1250A. Switchgear insulation is designed to withstand rated voltage and is also subjected to overvoltage due to lightning and breaker operation transients.
Depending on conditions, switchgear installations are designed and manufactured for outdoor and indoor service. Suitable for mass production, transportation handling and convenient operation, the weight of the equipment is kept as low as practicable.
The VCB, LBS, SF6 circuit breaker and switchboards are of optimized design for Bangladeshi supply conditions and ambient — ensuring ease of operation, low-cost maintenance and higher longevity.
The cubical design of 12kV, 25kV and 1250A is also compatible with our SF6 and Minimum Oil Circuit Breakers (MOCB). The panels are fully compartmentalized and extensible on both sides, consisting of a Busbar chamber, PT compartment, CT and cable termination compartment, breaker compartment and metering chamber.

Construction
LT Switchgears are sheet steel (12–16 SWG) clad with a modular system for assembly of cubicles — dust and vermin proof, free standing, floor mounting, indoor type, with TPN &E copper busbar.
Distinctive Features
Uttara Power Ltd. LT switchgears feature busbar arrangement into parts of cubicles, strict separation of switchboard, cable termination and busbar compartment, free-standing or against-a-wall installation, single or double fronted arrangements and all-round steel enclosure.
Uttara Power Ltd. uses Merlin Gerin, ABB branded circuit breakers in panels, but if other brands are prescribed by the customer and they do not override applicable standards, we manufacture as per customer requirements.
